Groundbreaking for new Music City Star station

First announced in 2015, ground was broken this week for a new station at Hamilton Springs on the Music City Star commuter rail line in Tennessee. Launched in 2006, the Music City Star commuter rail line operates on 32-miles of track between Nashville and Lebanon, Tenn., operated by the Nashville & Eastern Railroad for the Tennessee Department of Transportation. The new station is part of a new “transit-oriented development” (TOD) as part of the Hamilton Springs planned community, and is expected to open for service in 2018.
