No Injuries In Boston-Bound Amtrak Acela Train Separation

No injuries were reported when Amtrak Acela Train 2150 experienced a separation in while traveling towards Boston South Station on Tuesday. Passengers were transferred to an Amtrak Regional train to complete their journey. The incident occurred near Aberdeen, Md. The Acela high-speed trainsets are semi-permanently coupled together, and are rarely uncoupled, even for maintenance. The exact cause of the separation remains under investigation.
