Bike Racks for South Shore Trains

Indiana’s South Shore Line commuter rail will experiment with bike rack storage aboard some trains in 2016, according to a report published in the Elkhart Truth. The Northwest Indiana Commuter Transportation District (NICTD), which operates the South Shore Line, is putting together a proposed schedule so weekend travelers can bring their bikes along. New bike racks are being installed which will allow each car to carry approximately 10 bicycles per car.
